I’ve always felt a weird mix of feelings about posting my goals online. A part of me wants to post them because it will make me more accountable, but that is also the exact reason why I don’t want to post them! Because I’ll have be totally honest each month about what doesn’t get done. Either way, I’ve thought about it long enough and am going to try it and see how it goes! HOW I PLAN MY GOALS Every month, I use my Powersheets to plan out what’s really important to me to accomplish. I highly ... View the Post
Turning Your Kitchen Into an Inspiring Space
Mid-week, I typically walk into the kitchen and see something like the scene I saw this morning: cut up bits of veggies littering the cutting board, dirty knives and silverware strewn about, foreign sticky substances spotted on the counters, and too ripe bananas that I failed to make something with before they started to turned brown over my the blender, which has splats of something all over it too... Ew. As someone who loves to cook and basically makes every meal we eat "in-house", and as a ... View the Post
6 Month Goal Refresh – What to do if your goals STILL aren’t working
My yearly planner was sitting at the back of my bookshelf, taunting me with little tinges of guilt. I purposefully left it sitting there unopened for months for one reason: I didn't want to look at the list of goals I made for the new year... And realize how many of them I hadn't met six months into the year. Been there? Creativity plays a positive role in the state of our mental health, even if we're not great at painting or drawing, or whatever. Taking just a few moments out of your week to do something artistic can not only ... View the Post
Yes and No Lists: Dealing with Busy Seasons Intentionally
"Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction." –John F. Kennedy So you probably know about workflows or have heard about them. It's the system that you follow for reoccurring projects that creates consistency and efficiency in your work. I don't know how many times when I started my business I heard the word "workflow" and thought, I mean, is it that big of a deal? It's just a fancy word for the way I get stuff done. Eight years later and a little bit wiser, I'm here ... View the Post
Our Raised Vegetable Garden
I grew up in a garden. Planting carrots with my mom and picking black raspberries every morning in the summer are memories dear to my childhood. And now, it's my turn to begin my gardening journey! We decided to start a little vegetable patch in our backyard in a raised bed. Honestly, I am surprised and happily amazed at how well these little plants are growing! Since I took the photos above, these plants have probably tripled in size. We have an assortment varying from tomatoes to garlic to ... View the Post
